the races.

Despite playing host to just one event each year, Aldington is amongst the best courses in the South East. A left-handed, slightly undulating, galloping course over three miles and 19 fences. The ground is a combination of quick-draining clay and chalk soil that is well managed by a dedicated team to ensure that the going is good. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram Pages for regular course updates!

visit & tickets.

Aldington Races is not just about the racing! Aldington is known for being a family event with fun and activities for people of all ages and interests.

Regularly attracting over 5,000 people, Aldington is an Easter Monday tradition with many arriving shortly after 10am to secure a great viewing spot, and inviting friends to share in picnics and inevitably a few bottles of bubbly.

A host of local food and drink stands form a wonderful social environment to catch up with friends whilst watching or participating in the dog show, hound and beagle displays and some traditional countryside 'sports' like tossing the sheaf; a young farmers' favourite. There's also a funfair for the kids.

Of course the racing is the primary event and naturally sloping banks surrounding the course provide great viewing.
